Cycling in Taiwan台灣
An overview of what we believe are the nicest routes through Taiwan's spectacularly beautiful hinterland. By bike, scooter or car.
Having travelled across Taiwan by bike, scooter and public transport, we found that the generally advised routes are somewhat boring, and that there is much more to explore in terms of nature and culture. Follow our routes and make more of your visit: we guarantee it's going to be worth your time. The routes are point-to-point, but with all the suggested additions you can also see them as a general sense of direction towards the areas where you can best enjoy all this amazing country has to offer.
The suggestions in this guide are additions and alternatives to the usual sources of information. We don't list all the (obvious) sights at the places you pass, just the ones that are usually not mentioned or deserve more attention, in our opinion.
